187. Steps Ahead
"THUNDER BAGUA!"-Kaido
"Metsuryu Ogi! GUREN: BAKUENJIN! (Dragon Slayer Secret Art! Crimson Lotus: Exploding Flame Blade)"-Jon
Jon create a big spiral fire attack that have some sparks. This is Natsu's skill that Jon have trained in these 2 years. At first, he just want to copy it, but when he was about to fight Kaido, he trained it further. There's no other suitable technique to fight a dragon than a dragon slayer technique.
The fire attack move toward Kaido, so Kaido swing his kanabo at it. Kaido stop Jon's attack for a moment, but then it explode. Kaido got engulfed by fire that create a big explosion.
Kaido got burnt, but his ridiculous physic can hold it. Furthermore, he is in hybrid form, make him a lot tougher. However, he still got damaged by Jon's attack, altough not fatal.
Just when Kaido disperse the smoke, Jon appear in front of him. Jon is not in Kyuubi chakra mode anymore, Kurama need to gather chakra first. Jon is in sage mode, and he appear just with his swords covered in chakra, or so it seem.
Kaido got surprised and punch Jon, but Jon can avoid it. Jon then slash at Kaido's right hand, that covered in armament. Jon's attack can't pass through Kaido's haki, but then Kaido roar in pain, and his right hand slumped down.
Kaido punch Jon with his left hand, and Jon decide to jump back. Kaido hold his right hand, and try to move it but he can't. Jon is grinning on his place and play with his swords.
"What did you do, brat?"-Kaido
"Chakra scalpel, very effective to cut tendons & muscles. It can bypass any physiscal defense and directly cut internal organs."-Jon
Jon used chakra scalpel to cut Kaido's hand muscle. However he can't cut deep and just cut superficially. The tough part of Kaido's body is not only his skin, but also his internal organs.
Kaido can slowly lift his right hand again, even with difficulties. The previous effect when Kaido can't use his hand is because of surprise. He can't use full strength, but still can use his hand, and that's enough for Jon to be satisfied.
Jon then rush at Kaido and attack with chakra scalper swords again. Kaido now start to project his haki on every attack & defense. He need to avoid Jon's swords from touching his body, or he will get his muscles getting cut again.
Kaido still avoid using his right hand, but it didn't mean it get easier for Jon. Kaido use his tail to replace his right hand when attacking. Jon maximize his sharingan & observation haki to avoid all Kaido's attacks.
They fight back & forth without anyone gaining advantage anymore. Then suddenly Kaido punch Jon with his right hand, and Jon didn't expect this, so he got hit. The punch is just as strong as before, surprising Jon.
Jon crash to the ground and stabilize himself to land. Jon got big damage, so he use all his senjutsu chakra to heal himself. Jon grit his teeth and look at Kaido's right hand.
Then Jon realize something, all small wounds on Kaido's body has gone. Kaido is getting healed over time because of his devil fruit. Jon didn't know that Kaido can do it, and it's rather fast too.
'The muscle that i cut must've been healed too. But the big wounds haven't fully healed, so it's not that bad.'-Jon
"Your strange attack can't bypass haki projection, so now i don't need to worry about it anymore. Let's finish this for real!"-Kaido
"You've been saying that many times, and i still stand here. Maybe it's time to put down that ego, Kaido."-Jon
"I will do that if i lose, but it's impossible."-Kaido
Kaido run toward Jon, and then use his claws to attack from afar. Kaido's attack create 5 wind blades that move toward Jon. Jon flicker to the side and avoid the blades.
Kaido change direction toward Jon and prepare his kanabo. Jon cover Kusanagi with armament, then point it at Kaido. Then he use Kusanagi's ability that he haven't use for a long time.
Jon extend Kusanagi and stab Kaido with it at stomach. Kaido see this and try to avoid, but Kusanagi extend at faster speed. Kaido got stab, but only got small wound because his haki can defend him.
Kaido got pushed behind by Kusanagi, then he grab the sword. Kaido push the sword to the side and move toward Jon again. Jon shrink Kusanagi to normal size and prepare himself.
'Even Kusanagi can't pierce him, his skin & armament are very tough.'-Jon
Jon activate his Yin Seal, and get into stance with his sword. He flow lightning chakra on his swords, and run to Kaido. They clash and now Jon is losing and got thrown back. Jon can't compete in strength with Kaido without Kyuubi mode.
Jon think of a plan, but he can't think of anything. Kaido's body is too tough that it make Jon can't find other way to pierce it except of conqueror coated attack or senjutsu chakra attack.
'Should i really use that? No, let's wait for a bit longer! I didn't want to rely on that thing and i want to polish my skill with this battle. Dragon said that haki can get stronger if i push my limit when fighting stronger haki user. That's also why Luffy can get future sight after fighting Katakuri.'-Jon
Jon have a trump card that might be possible to make him win fast, but he don't want to use it now. He want to grow stronger, but that trump card can prevent him from reaching that.
He was jealous of Luffy to have future sight, but Jon have sharingan instead. However, armament is different, because it is very needed. Advanced armament haki is something that Jon want to upgrade a lot.
Jon & Kaido clash again and again, with Kaido having the advantage. Jon keep fighting with his swords, and just use lightning chakra flow on them. He want to save his chakra until Kurama gather enough chakra for Kyuubi mode.
Jon didn't try to compete with Kaido in strength, so he mainly dodge Kaido's attacks. He also redirecting Kaido's attacks rather than blocking to save his energy. He need Kurama's chakra & senjutsu if he want to defeat Kaido after all.
'Kid, it's ready.'-Kurama
"Finally, i start to lose the feel on my wrist. Even redirecting his attack is hard enough without your chakra enhancement."-Jon
Jon's wrists are hurt after he redirect Kaido's attacks many times. His clothes also tattered on arms & legs. His Madara armor also have some cracks & dents after Kaido succeed to hit him some times.
Jon immediately use Kyuubi mode and flash at Kaido. His sudden change in speed surprised Kaido, and he got kicked away by Jon. Jon didn't chase Kaido that got fling away, and heal himself.
Jon wipe some blood on his body and heal himself faster. He also dispell a clone to get senjutsu chakra and activate sage mode. He need to finish this before Kurama run out of chakra to maintain Kyuubi Mode.
Kaido run toward Jon again and send wind blades with his claws. Jon didn't move and he just wait the blades. When the blades almost reach him, Jon put his hand in front of him. A big seal mark appear, and when the wind blades touch it, they disappear.
Kaido didn't know what happen, but he didn't care either. But suddenly, the wind blades appear in front of Kaido and hit him. Jon has teleported the wind blades back to Kaido.
However, Kaido didn't get injured and only have some scratches. His dragon scales are very tough indeed. Jon is not disappointed, he just want to test if Kaido have resistance to his own attack, and it seem he have it. They start to fight back & forth again, and Jon didn't use any trick now.
Hours passed, and Jon feel his chakra start to get low. Jon know he need to finish this fight before his Kyuubi mode end again. A prolonged fight is really not advantageous for him. Kaido must have more energy than him to fight for days.
Jon & Kaido clash again, and Jon finally decide on a plan. Jon teleport many times again around Kaido and strike with haki projection & Conqueror covered attacks. Just like before, Kaido can defend the attacks on vital area, and Jon can only give Kaido some small injuries.
However, Jon didn't just attack with haki projection & conqueror, he also coat his attacks with chakra scalpel. Jon didn't cut deep with his chakra scalpel, and just cut shallow into Kaido's muscle.
When doing that, Jon also got hit by Kaido many times. He succeed to avoid big attacks and damage on vital areas. He also keep healing himself, and keep gathering senjutsu chakra with his clones.
Finally, Jon has succeed to cut many places on Kaido's body. The targets of his attacks are mostly Kaido's limbs & back. The chakra scalpel give low damage, but it stack and Kaido slowly feel the effect.
"Damn brat, what are you doing?"-Kaido can't raise his kanabo
"What? I just fight you like before, did you get tired already?"-Jon smirk
"Me? Getting tired? What a crap, you must've cut my muscle again."-Kaido
"Bingo!"-Jon
Jon teleport again to cut Kaido's muscles, and Kaido can't respond immediately with his condition. Jon is flickering around Kaido and use chakra scalpel to cut Kaido's limbs muscle. Kaido finally can't stand and fall on his knees, his hands also slumped down.
"Any last word?"-Jon place his sword on Kaido's neck
"Keep dreaming!"-Kaido
Kaido suddenly turn into a dragon and Jon is pushed back. Kaido fly to the sky, and it surpised Jon.
"Damn, did transforming into a dragon heal his injuries?"-Jon
Jon click his tongue and look at Kaido that fly on the sky. Suddenly Jon realize something. Kaido didn't move on his own, but he use his flame cloud to move his body. Kaido suddenly shoot wind blades and Bolo Breat at Jon, so Jon avoid them.
'He just shoot his attacks and not moving at all. Did he want to stall time to heal himself? There's no way i'll let you do it.'-Jon
Jon look at the time, and realize they've fought for hours. Jon can't prolong this fight, he need to finish this soon. Jon decide to use his back up plan.
"I don't like to use this, but let's end this here, Kaido!"-Jon
"Just because you stop my movement, doesn't mean you already win, brat."-Kaido is angry
"No, i already win, because i've planned many steps ahead of you. Tell me, did you feel something strange in your body?"-Jon
"What are you talking about?"-Kaido
"I guess that's a no, so i'll tell you. Previously, when i cut your skin many times in dragon form, i've put some seeds that i've fused with my chakra in your wounds. Did you know what that means?"-Jon
"What? Did those seeds contain poison? Too bad, i have high poison resistance, so it won't work."-Kaido
"Wrong, that means i can make the seed grow from your body."-Jon appear on Kaido's head
"!? WHAT?!"-Kaido widen his eyes
"Mokuton Original: Bloody Forest!"-Jon clap his hands
The seeds in Kaido's body start to grow and the roots rip Kaido's flesh & drink his blood. Kaido roar in pain, but it didn't stop the trees from growing. Finally a forest of red trees appear on Kaido's dragon body.
Kaido can't hold on and he fall to the ground, then turn into his human form. Kaido is full of deep & big wounds, and lose his right hand. But even with those wounds, Kaidos is still conscious.
"You want to kill me?"-Kaido
"It's not for me to decide."-Jon
Jon stab Kaido's right chest with his sword and electrocute the guy, make Kaido lose consciousness. Finally after fighting for hours, Jon has win.
