0Seeing me in such a daze, the old man smiled wryly and stared at me in silence. He shook his head slightly and sighed, "Old, old, I'm really old. However, your Zhang Clan really has a successor."

After he had finished speaking, he sighed a little before quietly closing his eyes again. It was as though he was recalling his memories again.

Even though I was astonished, I knew that this wasn't the time to disturb him. I just sat there quietly, looking at the old man from the other side. I have a feeling that the mystery of my life may be solved by this old man today! At the moment, I could only wait patiently. In fact, when I was negotiating with the members of the island family, this old man didn't say much, but it was obvious that he was very powerful, judging by the way the giants spoke. But when everyone had left, what did he say to me? Clearly, all of this was very abnormal! I even had the feeling that the old man was testing me because he didn't say anything. I bet that the two of us had not met before but had only met once. After that, it was me who was negotiating, he was resting, and in the end, it was him who directly called out my grandfather's name! That can only mean one thing, while I was negotiating with him with his eyes closed, he already recognized me in his heart, he already recognized me as Zhang Jie's grandson! Even now, I still can't say for sure what my grandfather's name is! He had already made up his mind, but he only managed to figure it out at the most crucial moment. What else could it be if what had just happened was not a test? It seemed that this was the only reasonable explanation!

However, before I could come to a conclusion, Shimamoto, the old gentleman, suddenly opened his eyes, and they shone brightly. I was struck by an inexplicable surprise. I'm afraid Mr. Island has something to say!

Sure enough, Shimamoto was quiet for a moment. He looked at me again, then said slowly, Boy, do you want to hear the story?

Saying that, without waiting for me to speak, he starts his own conversation. I nodded, of course.

However, it was better not to listen to this story. Upon hearing it, I was surprised: This Mr. Island Ben Yi was previously a member of the Japanese army that invaded China!

It turned out that 50 years ago, this Mr. Shimamoto Island was actually a member of the 1st Regiment of Japan, guarding northeast China (Manchuria). At that time, the 1st Regiment was a two-squad unit, namely, the 1st Regiment, which was stationed in Manchuria in 1937, and the 1st Regiment, which was stationed in Manchuria. That is to say, the Japanese Army's 1st Regiment = Guan Dong Jun's 1st Regiment + remain in the 1st Regiment. The two Regiments had a total of 11,000 people. Little Island was in the 1st Regiment of the Guan Dong Army.

After the "Seven Seven Stories and Seven Stories", the main force of the 1st Regiment of the Guan Dong Army was sent to the Chahar Regiment, which was then mixed into the 2nd Regiment. The 1st Regiment of the Guan Dong Army was retained, but only 1 Regiment and 3 Company were left with the strength of the 1st Regiment. However, Little Island did not follow the main force into the pass, but stayed behind in the pass. That same year, he was transferred back to the mainland, where he stayed for the 1st Regiment. After that, the 1st Regiment will be called the 101st Regiment and will be mobilized to fight in Shanghai. On September 22, 1937, they arrived at the Wusong Shanghai battlefield and dispatched troops to Shanghai. They fought in the direction of Hongkou and suffered heavy casualties. Shimamoto was also slightly injured. Return to the team after a short rest. On March 18, 1939, the 11th Army launched an attack in Dainan and occupied Nanchang. In November 1939, the 101st Regiment returned to Japan, and Shimamoto returned with his regiment. The next year, the 101st Regiment was withdrawn.

At the same time, when the 1st Regiment was reappointed as the 101st Regiment to be stationed in Shanghai, China, the remaining four Regiments of the Regiment remained at home, using the 1st Regiment's name to be rebuilt on this basis. After the 101st Regiment returned to Japan, at the end of the year, Shimamoto Island was transferred from the 101st Regiment to the 1st Regiment, which was stationed there. Later on, the majority of the 1st Regiment was transferred to the Hua Xia to fill up the 1st Regiment of the Guan Dong Army. Shimamoto's group, which had just returned from Huaxia, had been assigned to adjust its defenses, leaving Japan behind.

In 1941, after the outbreak of the Pacific War, the 1st Regiment returned to battle, and the 56th Regiment entered Myanmar to fight. Shimamoto followed the main group. Shortly after entering Myanmar, in early 1942, at the request of the United States and the United Kingdom, Huaxia formed a Chinese Expeditionary Force to travel to Myanmar, Dai Anlan's 200 divisions.

When I heard this, my heart shook!

Nothing else, because I seem to remember my father saying before he died that my grandfather, Jie Zhang, was a student of Huangpu Military Academy. He secretly joined the Communist Party when he was still studying, and after graduation, he joined Dai Anlan's 200 divisions, an extremely elite mechanized army! At this point, I suddenly understood: This Island Ben seemed to know my grandfather. Could it be that he knew him in Burma?

However, this was just too impossible. Dai Anlan's 200 divisions and the 56th division of the Japanese Army were rivals fighting to the death against each other. They belonged to two different divisions, so how could they possibly know each other?

I wondered: what was going on?

Ostensibly ignoring my own thoughts, Ben the Island recalls: On March 8, 1942, Dai Anlan's 200 Division Star Night arrived in the southern part of Maine as a Chinese Expeditionary Force vanguard. The small town on the southern plains of Maine, 260 kilometers from the capital of Myanmar, Rangoon, is strategically placed as a city that is on a road, rail and water route. At this time, the British troops in Myanmar, under the Japanese offensive, like a tide of retreat. On the 19th, Japan pursued the retreat of British troops to the west bank of the Piu River, where it took the lead in a firefight with the vanguard of the 200th division. Both sides were engaged in a fierce battle. On the 21st, the Japanese army cut off the 200 divisions of Yongkegan Airport, which occupied the north part of the city. On the 28th, the Japanese army sent a small force to raid the headquarters of the 200 divisions, but Dai Anlan, the commander of the division, had to counterattack with a machine gun.

Despite the dangers, Dai Anlan and the 200 divisions were good, because they had successfully saved the British army in Myanmar. First, they retreated to Burma according to plan. After a short battle with the Japanese army, they were immediately defeated, causing Dai Anlan's 200th Division to fall into a three-sided encirclement with the 55th, 56th, and 33rd divisions. Nevertheless, Dai Anlan led the 200th Division to victory in the Battle of Tonggu.

Entering April, the situation on the battlefield in Myanmar changed dramatically. The alliance between the Chinese Expeditionary Forces, the British Army and the Burmese Army was slowly falling into the mud of defeat. It was at this moment that Ben the Island, who was a sniper in the 56th Regiment of the Japanese Army, came face to face with one of Dai Anlan's 200 Regiments, Zhang Jie!
