My Husband is My Professor and Boss

When Max called Raina and told her about Noah's situation, she felt very bad. She rushed to the hospital. And when she arrived, Emily was unconscious on a hospital bed. She looked at her friend whose face was pale, whose eyes were swollen and dry stains of tears on her cheeks. She grabbed Emily's hand and sat down beside her on a chair.     

After some time Raina took a deep breath and stood by the window. She was engrossed in her thoughts. She wondered how many times she had to come to this hospital in the last six months. She did not know when this all end.     

She came out of the world of her thoughts when she felt a strong hand wrapped around her waist.     

Max leaned over her small body and put a chin on her shoulder.     

"What are you thinking."     

She placed her palm on his hand and began to draw a circle on the back of his hand with her thumb.     

"Nothing."     

" Don't lie."     

"Pheww...". She let out a long sigh and turned into his arm. Her hazel eyes met his green eyes. "I was wondering when all this end. When will this hospital-hospital game end? I mean, since the beginning of the academic year, we have been coming to the hospital only."     

"You are right." He agreed with her. "I wish that day would come soon."     

After sharing the silence for a few moments, Max brought his face to her level and her soft lips were about to touch his lips she put her hand on his mouth. "We are not alone."     

"But she is in deep slumber" Max replayed looking towards Emily.     

"That's why I don't think it's appropriate to do this here." She was feeling bad for her friend and not wanted to convert the sad movement into a romantic one.     

"As you wish." after kissing her on the forehead he told her to go to bed and left from there.

It had been more than two days but still, Noah had not opened his eyes. He still hadn't come out of Danger. Max did not know how many more days he would be in a coma as more than forty-eight hours had passed. The cells in his body were harshly damaged. He had so many damages in his body that if anyone else had been in that place, that person would have died by now But Noah's breath was still running, and this fact shocked Alex and Max.     

When Alex asked what had happened that day, the commanders who were with Noah told him, Noah had already started his work by the time they reached the spot. They said that Noah was killing people who were coming in his way in such a way that he was not a man but a machine. This was brand new to Alex. In the last eighteen years since they met, Noah had never talked about Any of his skills, and Alex had never seen anything special.     

The last two days were an eternity for Emily. Although she was not allowed to enter the ICU, she still stayed in the hospital. She was waiting for Noah to get up and she was sure he would get up too but still, she was scared sometimes. She would stand outside the door of the ICU room for hours watching Noah. She wanted her presence there when he woke up from his coma. From time to time Raina and Avery were coming to the hospital to company her so she could not feel alone.

It was pitch black outside. It was midnight. Avery was lying on King size bed.     

Her hand was in Alex's hair and he was lying with his hands wrapped around her waist and his head on her chest. His back was still not healed so he couldn't sleep on his back and if he were normal now or sleep on his back, Avery's head would be on his chest.     

While they were in their deep sleep, Alex's mobile phone rang. As the bell of that mobile reached his ears, he opened his eyes wide     

A moan came out of her mouth as Alex separated himself from her to pick up the call. Alex quickly put his hand on her head and patted her.     

"It's ok, I'm right here. Don't open your eyes." It was Max's call and he said that Noah had regained consciousness and had been shifted to another room. This was good news for Alex. He was glad to hear that. Noah was much more than just a friend for Alex. Noah was one of those people who dared to speak in front of the underworld king in any situation.     

He quickly changed his loose clothes into black jeans and a black t-shirt.     

He came out of the closet and looked at Avery, who was lying on the bed with her body curved like a small child. He didn't want to disturb her sleep, but he knew from the last four days that she was so restless about Noah's condition that she would be angry if he wasn't taken her. So he came forward and sat beside her.     

He took her face in his hands and looked, "Love." He started rubbing her cheek. "Oh, little cupcake open your eyes." After rubbing her cheeks for a full minute and saying sweet words, she opened her eyes very slowly as she was in deep sleep.     

"My darling Noah is out of a coma and I'm going to the hospital to see him. Do you have to come with me " She blinked her eyes a lot and finally nodded     

"But take me in your arms. I don't want to walk." Her mumbled sentence pulled Alex's lips corners upwards. He smiled from corner to corner.     

It was all the effect of her sleep. She was still in control of her sleep, otherwise, she would not have asked him to take her in his arms.     

"Ok", Alex brought a shawl from the closet and wrapped it around her body. Her small body was looking cute in that shawl brought by Alex a few days ago. Alex had already taken care of her but since she became pregnant he was taking her special care. He used to bring the warmest clothes for her.     

Alex knew very well that his wife was very fond of fresh air and for that, she always used to went alone on the terrace for which Alex banned her. He had also started the work of elevator construction in the mansion which was going to be completed in two days. It was all things he wanted to do when firstly he found out about her pregnancy, but the situation was not right so he could not. Only He knew how much he was broken when his pregnant Avery was trapped in Clara's trap and went to India, and how happy he was when he saw her, but he couldn't express his feelings.     

He took her in his arms and came out of the room. When he reached outside the mansion, the night shift chauffeur was already standing near the car.     

He opened the car door for Alex and closed it after Alex sat down.     

After he sat properly in the back seat, he settled Avery comfortably on his lap. He put both her legs on the seat and her head on his chest. He wrapped one arm around her waist and another arm around her shoulders.     

As it was nighttime, there was not much traffic on the road so Alex's car reached the hospital premises early. After entering the private parking lot, Alex took Avery in his arms, got out of the car and went straight to the elevator. Avery's eyes were still closed and she was still searching for her home in Alex's arms.     

As soon as Alex stepped into the room, everyone's eyes fell on him.     

Noah's condition was still very weak and he was leaning against the bedrest. The IV drop was still connected to one of his hands and his other hand was in Emily's hand. Emily has been near to him since he came to his senses. She didn't leave him alone for even a second. Emily was the first person who saw movements in Noah's fingers called Max quickly.     

Noah hoped that Alex would ask him something after he came but when he saw Alex's expressionless face he realized that he was going to die now.
