Rebirth in Against the Gods with The Ultimate System

Chapter 142: The Central Island

Chapter 142: The Central Island

0Stepping into the sanctuary felt akin to entering the Ancient Isu Temple from his homeworld. The place exuded an aura of perfect preservation, as if the Isu members themselves still walked its halls. This sanctuary, however, held even greater grandeur. Constructed around a small, floating island, it overlooked a whirlpool surrounded by cascading waterfalls that embraced the floating city below. To Yun Che, it seemed that Xuyi had once built this magnificent castle-like structure before establishing a kingdom inhabited by non-cultivators.

Xuyi, a half-Isu due to her connection with Ares, refrained from pursuing the Isu arts of cultivation herself. This choice might have been influenced by her bloodline's incompatibility with such practices. Yet, the pure Yin energy she had gained from the Moon eclipsed any profound arts found in the Profound Sky Continents. Yun Che pondered what might occur if Xuyi were to discover the state of her people today. He surmised that she probably already knew, her soul helplessly witnessing the transformation from afar.

As for Lin Xin, a sense of nostalgia washed over her, memories of her days as a priestess resurfacing. Reminiscing about her past service here, she realized that her role remained hidden from others. None knew she had once been a priestess, a secret guarded by all who served in that capacity. It was an unspoken rule they adhered to strictly. While she had occasionally invoked her priestess status to fend off bullies, she understood that the sanctuary's interests extended only as far as its boundaries. Her grudge, she realized, stemmed from a belief that the sanctuary had not shielded her during moments of distress—a grudge kept hidden, especially since she had ceased her service there years ago.

"Wow, I'm truly impressed. This sanctuary is unlike anything I've ever seen before. I had no idea such a place existed within the Blue Wind Empire," Cang Yue marveled through the Tenteikura, her wonder evident after witnessing the marvels of Isu culture. The sight of these structures left her in awe, as it was her first time encountering them.

"It was the Moon Empress's haven, after all. She kept it concealed to grant the non-cultivators a haven of their own, yet it seems human nature has managed to creep in even here," Yun Che commented wryly, alluding to the recent incident.

For the others, except Yun Che and Lin Xin, this was akin to being tourists in an unfamiliar land. Isu-like structures, towering pillars, intricate inscriptions, and futuristic designs surrounded them—visions that were entirely new and intriguing. To ensure the preservation of these structures, access to the sanctuary was strictly regulated. Enclosed within the surrounding walls of the sanctuary, the main gateway acted as one of the four entrances into the primary zone encircling the central floating island. Suspended bridges connected these gateways directly to the sanctuary. Beneath these bridges stretched a vast sinkhole, revealing a glimpse of what lay beneath the floating city. The walls were constructed around the edges of this sinkhole, and the only route to the sanctuary was via the four bridges. On the sides of these bridges, trees lined the borders, bordered by marble-like materials reminiscent of Xuyi's tomb. A distinctive feature that couldn't be missed, however, was the complete whiteness that enveloped this place.

The priest and priestesses, true to their role in a place of worship, exuded an air of humility rather than arrogance. They carried themselves with a sense of reverence that was to be expected within these sacred walls. It was clear that these individuals operated on a different level of devotion. One noticeable aspect was the surprising beauty of the priestesses, rivaling that of women in the outside world. While some of them stole furtive glances at Yun Che, their curiosity was quickly quelled by the protective presence of his female companions. The priests, on the other hand, held a certain charm that Yun Che begrudgingly acknowledged. He noticed a few of them casting interested looks towards his companions, although he found himself slightly irked by it. It seemed that even in a place of worship, human inclinations remained.

From their vantage point, they could observe the small floating island suspended in the air, encircled by a golden spherical barrier akin to the one at Xuyi's tomb. This barrier seemed designed to fend off potential attackers from the outside world, should they breach this hallowed place.

Advancing along the bridge, Huan Bei abruptly halted in front of an elderly figure who awaited them just outside the sanctuary's entrance. The man wore a white cloak akin to the attire of the priestesses they had encountered earlier.

"Welcome to the Creator's Sanctuary. It has been quite some time since we last received guests in this sanctified place. I am Huan Fan. If you are the esteemed city lord Huan's guests, then you are welcomed as our own," the elderly priest greeted them with a respectful bow of his head. His robe bore similarities to those of the other priests, yet it was adorned with gilded accents on his chest, arms, and shoulders. After addressing the group, he turned his attention to Lin Xin, whom he hadn't laid eyes on in years.

"Lin Xin, it brings joy to this old man's heart to see you once more. It appears your confidence has been restored. This old man was genuinely concerned when you fell ill a few years back, though you know well the workings of our sanctuary," Huan Fan's voice carried a mixture of warmth and concern.

"I am well aware of it, Old Fan. Your kindness is greatly appreciated," Lin Xin replied with a smile, though her inner thoughts bore a hint of disappointment. The sanctuary's indifference during her times of trouble was a stark reminder that their loyalty was primarily to their sacred abode, and she was no exception. The priestesses and priests held a privileged position within these walls, akin to nobility, but that privilege faded the moment they severed their ties with the sanctuary. In their eyes, life and death were inconsequential to those who no longer served the creator's purpose. Despite these thoughts, she maintained her composure as a guest.

"Your brothers and sisters missed you dearly after your departure a decade ago. Could it be time for your return?" the old priest suggested.

Anticipating this inquiry due to her renewed appearance, and appreciative of her husband's and Yun Che's care, Lin Xin graciously declined, "Old Fan, I've since become a mother to this little angel. While your offer is tempting, I must respectfully decline."

"That is indeed a loss. Then, could this young man here be your new husband?" Huan Fan shifted his attention to Yun Che.

Lin Xin's response tumbled out in a flurry of words, "Oh, no, Old Fan, not yet... He recently saved both mine and Xueli's lives a few days ago."

"Not yet?" The single phrase sparked curiosity and amusement among all present, including Yun Che.

Lin Xin's flustered response deepened her blush as she stumbled, "I mean, it's just... uh..."

"Lin Xin, this old man was merely jesting. So, you must be Yun Che. These lovely ladies by your side are your companions, I presume. You certainly caused quite the commotion outside," Huan Fan stated with a blend of gentle reprimand and bemusement. While he wasn't particularly bothered by the uproar, he did raise an eyebrow at the fact that such a display occurred right in front of their revered sanctuary, potentially tarnishing its reputation.

Yun Che's nonchalant shrug spoke volumes. "They certainly invited trouble upon themselves, and we simply responded in kind."

"The city lord has spoken highly of you – a person of remarkable strength and talents. It was high time someone reminded them of their place. Humanity's hubris can indeed become excessive. However, this inner zone has become rife with corruption, driven by greed and wealth. The sanctuary, though aware, refrains from entangling itself in such trivial matters."

"I understand. I presumed the city lord conveyed our request to you," Yun Che remarked.

"That he did. This old man seeks to understand your intentions. The area beneath the floating island is the most sacred space within our sanctuary. Even our priestesses and priests require unwavering devotion to enter. Let alone guests such as yourselves. I apologize for the constraints, but it is in the interest of preserving the sanctity and safety of this place." Huan Fan spoke with a stern tone.

"My intentions might seem incredulous. It would be best to discuss matters in a more private setting," Yun Che proposed, leading them deeper into the central sanctuary. Once away from prying eyes, Yun Che revealed his encounter with the sanctuary's creator, shocking everyone except his companions, Lin Xin, and Huan Bei. At first met with disbelief, Yun Che's profound strength and talents offered substantial proof. He affirmed the reality of the external world and unveiled the creator as a cultivator from the Profound Sky Continent. This visionary had founded the sanctuary as a refuge for those who couldn't cultivate – essentially, ordinary mortals.

Although he didn't reveal all the specifics, Yun Che explained that he had discovered her tomb and transported her remains to this sanctuary. While Huan Fan expressed a desire to view the body, Yun Che politely declined. His wish was for Xuyi to be laid to rest as a mortal, not an immortal deity. This sanctuary was her home, and Yun Che wanted her to be remembered that way. Understanding the sentiment, Huan Fan acquiesced. For years, people had believed Xuyi resided atop the floating island. However, in truth, she had passed away in the external world, and it was Yun Che who had the privilege of returning her to her sanctuary.

Escorted by the old priest, they entered the sanctuary's most revered chamber, a location accessible solely through a specific entrance and with a distinctive key held by the head priest. This purportedly sacrosanct space was situated at the base below the central floating island. Its walls were an immaculate white, devoid of furnishings or occupants. The island above, massive in scope, was enclosed by an Isu barrier, spherical in form. There were no apparent means of ascent to the island, a logical precaution considering Xuyi's ability to soar as a peak Sovereign Profound Realm cultivator.

Nonetheless, Yun Che found a puzzle in this otherwise unadorned environment: a solitary pedestal mirroring the one he had encountered in Xuyi's tomb. This four-sided obelisk featured a flat upper surface etched with ancient Isu script along its sides. Contrasting with the tomb's dusty, deteriorated pedestal, this one appeared recently fashioned, a detail that struck Yun Che as unusual.

"As you can perceive, only select priests and priestesses possess the privilege to enter this space. That particular pedestal serves no apparent function. My initial assumption was that it might serve as an entrance mechanism, but I was mistaken," Huan Fan elucidated. Lin Xin's countenance grew uneasy as she surveyed the hallowed grounds, her mind inundated by a torrent of memories. Hastily, she tugged at Yun Che's sleeve, drawing his attention. Turning to her, he observed her disconcerted expression. "Lin Xin, is something amiss?"

Rather than vocalizing her response, Lin Xin engaged in a covert conversation through the Tenteikura. "I've been in this place."

Yun Che grasped her intent for utmost secrecy and inquired with curiosity, "How?"

Lin Xin took a deep breath, her voice steady as she recounted the pivotal day that had altered her life. "It was a decade ago, when I was carrying Xueli in my womb, merely two months into my pregnancy. The night was tranquil, and the activities of the priests and priestesses had concluded for the day, including my own responsibilities. In the midst of my slumber, an unfamiliar voice permeated my consciousness. It beckoned me, called me to this very place. On that fateful night, I experienced an odd phenomenon. My body was in motion, but I possessed no control over it. I retained my awareness, yet my physical form seemed to act independently. It was a sensation both eerie and surreal. Strangely, none seemed to perceive my passage as I moved among them. To those guarding the sanctuary, I appeared as a phantom, a wraith-like presence. Even the door we entered through moments ago, which required a unique key, offered no resistance as I passed through it. The memory remains vivid in my mind. I shared the experience with my husband at the time, yet he dismissed it as a mere dream. Over the years, I gradually accepted that explanation."

"Phased through, as if a ghost?" Yun Che's eyes widened in astonishment.

Lin Xin's voice softened as she recounted her experience. "That night, I felt like I was dreaming, but it wasn't a dream. After arriving here, my body just floated towards the island effortlessly, bypassing the barrier."

She continued, her focus distant. "I stood before a pedestal on the island, much like this one. Symbols on its surface glowed, and I sensed a powerful, ancient presence. It communicated in a language I couldn't understand, yet its emotions and purpose seemed to seep into me. I felt connected to something immense and powerful."

As she paused, Yun Che's eager anticipation was evident, urging her to reveal more about the mysteries that tied her experience to the sanctuary.

"I don't know… everything was hazy… Perhaps if we go up there, I might remember something again," Lin Xin ended her story with a hopeful note, anticipating that being at the island might trigger her memories.

"I see…" Yun Che nodded, determination glinting in his eyes as he resolved to uncover the truth.

"Guest Yun, if what you said before is true, then the pedestal over there should hold some answers. If not, I will consider everything as mere jest and kindly ask you to leave. As a guest of this sanctuary, you have my word," the old priest stated solemnly.

"Rest assured, I understand that what I've shared might sound unbelievable. But every word is the truth," Yun Che reassured, bowing slightly to the old priest. With a purposeful stride, he made his way toward the familiar pedestal, an air of anticipation and curiosity surrounding him. His companions, as well as Huan Fan and Huan Bei, followed closely, intrigued by what might unfold. The pedestal looked strikingly similar to those back in the tomb, yet Yun Che hoped this one might yield unexpected revelations rather than a mere trip down memory lane.

"A similar pedestal… Do you think it works the same as the tomb?" Jasmine's voice echoed in Yun Che's inner world. Though Yun Che had the system scan the pedestal, there were no hidden marks on it like those in the tomb. He felt relieved that this pedestal didn't seem to be another memory-inducing mechanism, which would have only allowed him and Jasmine to enter.

"Only one way to find out…" Yun Che mused, raising his hand to wave it above the pedestal. Initially, nothing happened.

"Looks like this pedestal serves no..." Yun Che's words were abruptly cut off.

Suddenly, clicking sounds resonated all around them as the entire island began to respond. The barrier surrounding it intensified its glow and began pulsating, capturing the attention of everyone in the vicinity. For thousands of years, there had been no response from the island. It remained unchanged through generations, and yet now, it was reacting to a simple wave of a young man's hand.

"Shit… Did I mess something up?" Yun Che pondered internally.

"Guest Yun… What on earth have you done? No one has seen this for thousands of years…" the old priest exclaimed. The island's base was soon encircled by priests and priestesses who rushed to witness the unfolding miracle. In his astonishment, the old priest had forgotten to secure the entrance, and this unanticipated event was now drawing the attention of everyone. Some of the more devout individuals knelt in prayer, while others simply observed in awe.

"I don't know. I just waved my..." Before Yun Che could finish his words, they were all enveloped in green lights that emanated from the barrier above them. These lights seemed to materialize out of thin air, forming a square-shaped, radiant green cocoon around them. The unexpected phenomenon included Huan Bei and the old priest, leaving everyone in a state of surprise. The girls quickly adopted defensive stances, while Xueli rushed to her mother's side, seeking comfort.

"Danna-sama… What's happening?" Mio's voice trembled with uncertainty.

"Yuu-kun, did we trigger something harmful?" Retsu's words were accompanied by a protective embrace around Cang Yue.

"Mama… I'm scared…." Xueli's cries filled the air as she sought solace in her mother's lap.

"Don't worry… Mama's here… Mama will protect you…." Lin Xin held her daughter close, offering words of comfort amidst the chaos.

Kneeling before them, the old priest expressed his gratitude, his voice full of reverence. "Bless the heavens. It's the creator, and she is responding to you. You've spoken the truth, after all. After thousands of years, she has finally responded." Without warning, the glimmering lights within the green cocoon multiplied and surrounded them. The spectacle was baffling, leaving everyone present without an explanation. These lights appeared to select their targets with a purpose. In an instant, Yun Che's party was lifted from the ground, prompting gasps of astonishment from the onlookers. However, the old priest and Huan Bei remained unaffected, firmly grounded on the platform.

"Heeee?!? What the hell is this?!?" Kon's startled voice resonated as the luminous lights enveloped all of them, himself included. He had initially remained silent, but the sudden and inexplicable event forced him to voice his confusion.

Huan Bei's incredulous words followed, laden with disbelief, "Just how… She chose all of you…." His eyes widened as he observed the radiant lights encasing Yun Che, Retsu, Mio, and Cang Yue. He puzzled over why the lights seemed to have not excluded Lin Xin and her daughter. The unexpected development also caught Yun Che's attention, leading him to deduce that Lin Xin and her daughter were cultivators, thus making them eligible for this strange phenomenon.

Meanwhile, the old priest Huan Fan gazed upon the unfolding spectacle with a mix of awe and envy. The lights conspicuously disregarded him, the very person who had presided over the sanctuary for years and held access to this sacred place. It was an ironic twist that their honored guest, Lin Xin, and her daughter were chosen to enter the holiest of sites—the island itself. While the old priest held no ill intent, he could only hope that this occurrence would bring blessings rather than calamity to their realm.

As the radiant lights gently lifted them skyward, Yun Che directed his companions to bask in the sunlight's embrace. Miraculously, the impervious barrier parted, allowing them passage. This remarkable moment was witnessed by the onlookers below, both within and outside the sanctuary, leaving many in awe and anticipation of what was to come.

"How envious…. To be chosen by the creator to enter the holiest place in this realm. We worship for years, and none of us had the chance to enter." The old priest sighed in envy.

Huan Bei, his gaze still fixed on the barrier, replied, "He did say that he was returning the creator home. He must be the only one who ever witnessed her face directly. It looks like this one will leave this world without ever knowing what she looks like."

"He even met and talked to her. Old Bei, these people are permanent guests of this sanctuary. Whatever wish they had in the future…. Please let us know, and we will do whatever it takes to fulfil it." Huan Bei's determination to fulfill the guests' wishes was evident in his voice.

"Hmmm…. I am sure they will turn down your offer….. Whatever wishes they had, none of us could satisfy them. They are cultivators, after all. People from the outside world." Huan Bei replied with a knowing smile.

"Even little Xueli and her mother? No wonder she was taken to the island as well." The old priest exclaimed.

"Please keep this one a secret. I don't know about that child, but Lin Xin was a cultivator. It was her husband's wish. Yeah, he rescued her from the outside world." Huan Bei revealed the truth about Lin Xin.

"This old priest will keep their secret safe. After years of protecting this place, I have finally witnessed the creator's return to her origin." Both old men continued to observe the phenomenon, awaiting the return of these significant guests.

...

Yun Che felt his feet touch the ground after being carried by the lights. As the lights dispersed, he opened his eyes to take in the realm before him. The land on the small island wasn't solid, but rather covered in soft grass. The lights around him slowly dissipated, leaving Retsu, Mio, Cang Yue, Lin Xin, and Xueli beside him. All their gazes were fixed on the front, so he turned his head in that direction and was rendered entirely speechless.

The beauty of this place was beyond description. It was like stepping into a small paradise. Rare and vibrant flowers adorned the area in almost every direction, transforming it into a colorful field of blooms. The grass beneath his feet was as soft as wool, and the air held an inexplicable freshness. Gentle mist surrounded the area, adding an air of mystery as they passed through it to glimpse what lay beyond. Not a single tree stood in the flower-covered field, yet the place exuded a feeling of serenity and natural wonder. This small island was a true gem, a Garden of Eden in its own right. A perfect cultivation spot, especially for female cultivators – a realm of captivating beauty born from Xuyi's creation.

"This place….it's reminiscent of the Flower Realm back in the Realm of the Gods…. To think that she created all of this from an apple. That Xuyi…" Jasmine's voice resonated from his inner world, reflecting her own fascination with the small island they had just arrived at.

"It's incredibly beautiful…. Yuu-kun, I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my days here," Retsu's voice held awe as she admired the breathtaking scenery before her.

"Muu, I wish our inner world looked even half as beautiful as this," Mio commented, blissfully unaware that the owner of the inner world was standing right behind her. The man himself couldn't tell if she was being sincere or teasing him.

Yun Che sweatdropped. "I am still working on improving it. But don't worry, I'll make the inner world just as beautiful as this one..." He chuckled slightly, though he couldn't shake the feeling that Mio might be teasing him.

"Yuu-kun… is this where she used to live?" Retsu's curious question prompted a nod from Yun Che.

"Onii-chan… so many flowers!" Xueli's childhood wonder took over as she ran around, exploring the vibrant flower-filled surroundings. Her innocent joy brought smiles to both Yun Che and Lin Xin, who was still preoccupied with recalling her memories from ten years ago.

Cang Yue was at a loss for words. As the inheritor of the Moon Empress's legacy, she felt an overwhelming sense of nostalgia the moment she set foot on the island. She could almost hear Yuyun's voice crying within her Moon World. After all, this small island had once been her master's home. Determined to console her later, Cang Yue made a mental note.

"I've finally remembered…" Lin Xin's voice cut through the ambiance, capturing everyone's attention.

"What is it?" All eyes turned to her, curious about her sudden recollection.

"I came to this place ten years ago, and I floated to the island without the help of those lights. I floated here on my own… or at least, I believed I did..." Lin Xin's voice held a mix of intrigue and uncertainty as she continued to share her story.

"If you remember, can you tell us where your consciousness led you? We're quite lost in this mist, and your guidance might be invaluable," Yun Che inquired, hoping that Lin Xin's previous experience might help them navigate.

Lin Xin gazed around, attempting to find any familiar landmarks within the sea of flowers, but her efforts proved fruitless as everything appeared identical. She offered an apologetic smile and shook her head, indicating that she couldn't recall a specific path. Yun Che decided they would have to explore on their own, and he led the group through the enchanting flower field.

The island was a paradise, featuring expansive lakes and tranquil ponds teeming with aquatic life. Yun Che couldn't help but marvel at how this ecosystem had managed to flourish for thousands of years without any human intervention.

After walking for a while, Yun Che began noticing something peculiar. The surroundings were carpeted with flower petals, a sight they had grown accustomed to. However, Yun Che's intuition kicked in, leading him to realize something important. Upon reaching the island's center, his suspicions were confirmed, and a sense of disbelief washed over him. There, at the heart of the small island, stood a quaint house constructed from wood and straw thatch.

"What… is this?" Yun Che muttered, his gaze fixed on the unexpected sight before him.

Cang Yue, Retsu, Mio, and Xueli shared confused glances, their attention now fully focused on the peculiar house. The island's paradise-like environment contrasted starkly with this seemingly ordinary dwelling, creating an eerie and mysterious atmosphere.

There was no grand castle or a manor.

Not even a throne.

It was just a tiny house.

Next to the house, a small well was nestled amidst rainbow-colored grassy plains. The scene was surreal, as if the Moon Empress had left only yesterday. The environment remained untouched by the passage of thousands of years, devoid of cobwebs, dust, or any signs of decay. Yun Che's mind raced with questions. Could the laws of time on this island differ from the outside world? Did time freeze upon her departure and resume when they entered this place? Or perhaps time flowed more slowly here compared to the world beyond? This could possibly explain the vibrant aquatic life thriving in the lakes and ponds.

Another jaw-dropping revelation awaited them—the grand tree at the center of the island. Positioned beside the house, this massive tree bore branches adorned with delicate pink flowers. The sight left everyone speechless; they never anticipated encountering this tree. Its presence was reminiscent of trees found in Yun Che's world, specifically within a country called Japan. These unique trees were a hallmark of that nation. Yun Che's certainty grew as he noticed the ground littered with fallen petals, confirming the tree's identity.

Curiosity piqued, Yun Che approached the well beside the house, gazing down into its depths. The water was remarkably clear, revealing the stones lining its bottom. He found himself wondering if the well held some significance in the Moon Empress's life.

"Onii-chan… so beautiful…. What do you call this flower?" Xueli's curiosity was piqued.

"Xueli… this is a Cherry Blossom tree…. Or where we came from, we called it…. Sakura." Yun Che explained, followed by a nod from Retsu and Mio.

"Sakura…. Such a beautiful name…." Lin Xin smiled as she played with the fallen flower petals in her hand.

"Onii-chan…. Can we plant this tree back home? Please..." Xueli pleaded with her puppy eyes.

"Only if we manage to get some seeds from it… of course we can…." He replied, intrigued by the idea as well. He wondered if this tree possessed unique properties in this world. Planting its seeds in the manor's garden seemed like a great idea to him.

"Plant it in the inner world as well. You won't mind creating flower beds and soft grassy plains like this island. You can manage that, right…?" Jasmine demanded. Although she had read about Cherry Blossoms in the system, she had never seen one in the Realm of the Gods. Seeing this tree now, she immediately instructed Yun Che to plant it in the inner world.

"Haii….Ojou-chan… I'll get to it later." Yun Che responded with a hint of mockery. Even the haughty ojou-sama in his world had become interested in the Cherry Blossom. He found it amusing that she was fascinated by such a beautiful tree.

As they entered the small wooden house, their exploration began. The house appeared simple from the outside, and Yun Che expected it to be just that. However, as he opened the wooden door and stepped inside, he was taken aback. What he had assumed to be a modest dwelling turned out to be unexpectedly charming. The interior was basic, yet not lacking in comfort. A bed was positioned against one wall, a table with three chairs sat in the center, a small cauldron stood on one side, and a rudimentary wooden-style kitchen was set up. There was even a small living area. The house was perfectly suitable for three people to live in. Could this really be the abode of the Legendary Moon Empress?

There was no treasure at all.

"Could it be this place was her home?" Jasmine spoke from his inner world.

"Yes…. This was her original home. I recognized this place from the memory lane. It seems like she built a realm with her previous home as its center. She had the power to create grand structures, but she chose to preserve their memories in a place like this. That shows how much Xuyi cherished her origin, even after enduring Ares's rule."

Jasmine's tone turned somber. "She lived here…. despite having all the luxury of this world?"

"She loved her parents deeply…. Her memories reveal that she blamed herself for their deaths…. Perhaps this was her way of honoring their memory. She carried that guilt with her, all this time." Yun Che explained before noticing something near the Cherry Blossom tree. The object was partially covered by the fallen petals, prompting him to clear them away. As the petals scattered, he revealed an altar that resembled the one he had seen in Xuyi's tomb inside the pyramid. The altar had a peculiar non-pentagon shape etched into its floor, as though something was meant to fit there. Observing the shape, Yun Che suddenly realized what was missing.

"Could it be?" He began to contemplate the possibilities, but his thoughts were interrupted by a series of clicking sounds reverberating through the air. The island's barrier pulsated once more, causing a sense of anticipation among them.

"Damn it, what is it this time?" Yun Che's frustration was quickly replaced by astonishment as a golden silhouette materialized before them. The vague form took on the shape of a female figure, and as their gazes adjusted, they realized there weren't just one, but seven such figures emerging in front of them. Each was crafted from golden light, lacking distinct facial features or intricate detailing. It was as though they were golden shadows, mere impressions of female forms. The outline conveyed a sense of femininity through body proportions, flowing hair, and subtle curves.

"What in the world...?" Yun Che's confusion was palpable.

The seven golden shadows arranged themselves in front of the group, resembling statues frozen in time. Suddenly, unfamiliar text materialized above the figures, bearing the distinct Isu calligraphy. Recognizing the script, Yun Che prompted the system to translate the text's meaning, causing a notification to appear before him.

-----------------------

[Ding… Warning… Warning… Security breach detected inside the central island. Intruder detected. Executing countermeasures.]

[Activating golden shadow countermeasures.]

[Terminate all intruders.]

-----------------------

Yun Che's eyes widened as he read the translated text. "Terminate all intruders?" He exclaimed, his voice a mixture of shock and urgency. The atmosphere grew tense as everyone realized the gravity of the situation.

"What's happening? Yuu-kun!" Retsu asked, her unease evident.

He quickly relayed the message to them. Lin Xin clutched Xueli protectively, and Cang Yue's hand found Yun Che's, fingers intertwining with a mixture of fear and determination. The seven golden shadows remained still, and the air seemed to crackle with impending action.

"Prepare yourselves!" Yun Che's voice was resolute.

In an instant, the golden shadows surged forward, launching a swift and coordinated assault. Their luminous hands transformed into blade-like extensions of light, hurtling toward the group. Reacting with instincts honed by combat, Retsu and Mio summoned their Haki, manifesting translucent blades of power that intercepted the incoming strikes. The clash reverberated through the air, releasing sparks of energy with each collision.

The intensity of the encounter, however, was magnified by the fact that the attackers weren't limited to Retsu and Mio. Simultaneously, the other shadows aimed their luminous onslaught at Lin Xin, Xueli, and Cang Yue, who stood defenseless in the face of the onslaught. The unfolding danger struck at Yun Che's core, igniting an all-encompassing urgency.

"Protect them!" Yun Che roared, his aura surging. He propelled himself forward, meeting the onslaught head-on, as his body transformed into a tempest of movement. His fists, infused with the power of Phoenix Flames and Profound Force, collided with the golden blades, creating brilliant explosions that momentarily forced back the advancing shadows.

Retsu and Mio continued to ward off the strikes meant for Lin Xin, Cang Yue, and Xueli, utilizing their combined strength to hold back the relentless assault.

[Ding…. Detected Light Shadow security countermeasures. These shadows were made to match the intruders' current strength and will use whatever means necessary to terminate all intruders.]

As the confrontation escalated, Yun Che unwraps Zangetsu unleashing its Khyber's blade. In an intricate dance of power and sword technique, Yun Che wielded his blade with practiced precision, parrying the oncoming strikes from the relentless golden shadows.

Beside him, Retsu and Mio moved in unison, their movements fluid and harmonious. Their Haki-infused strikes clashed with the ethereal weapons of the shadows, producing blinding sparks and resonating shockwaves that rippled through the space around them. The ferocity of their defense radiated their unyielding determination to protect their loved ones.

As the battle raged on, Yun Che's mind raced. He couldn't help but wonder about the purpose of these golden shadows. Were they a remnant of the Moon Empress's defense mechanisms, left behind to guard her home? The system's notification had hinted at their ability to adapt to the intruders' strength, making them formidable opponents. Yun Che realized that they needed to find a way to outmaneuver these countermeasures soon.

Amidst the chaos, Yun Che's focus remained unbreakable. He allocated his energy and attention to defending against the shadows while maintaining the Heretic God protective barrier around Lin Xin, Xueli, and Cang Yue.

"Kon….distract that one for me…." Yun Che ordered.

"Aye…aye…." Kon also sprung from his cloak to block the extra shadow attacking Lin Xin's barrier. He had no choice but to use his light streak to attack it, but the shadow easily blocked his attacks.

The air crackled with tension as the group fought to protect themselves against the relentless assault of the golden shadows. Yun Che, Retsu, Mio, and even Kon engaged in a dance of blades and energy, battling against the mysterious attackers. Each clash of weapons sent sparks flying, illuminating the grim determination etched on their faces.

Amidst the chaos, Cang Yue's voice pierced through the sounds of combat. "What in the world are these things? Why are they attacking us?"

Yun Che's response was quick and direct, "Security countermeasures! We're intruders!"

With their combined efforts, they managed to hold their ground, fending off the shadows' attacks while attempting to decipher their purpose. Lin Xin and Xueli, protected by Yun Che's barrier, watched with wide eyes, fear mingling with curiosity.

Yun Che's eyes flashed with determination as he swiftly delivered a powerful kick, sending the shadow hurtling away from the barrier. "It's unforgivable! They dare to target the innocent."

Mio's fingers danced in the air, manipulating the space around them. The golden shadows seemed to be pulled in different directions. "Danna-sama," she panted, her eyes narrowing, "These shadows are no pushovers. They can match our strength."

A gust of wind heralded Retsu's appearance by Yun Che's side, just in time to deflect an impending strike towards the barrier. His face was tense, a thin line of sweat forming on his forehead. "Yuu-kun, is it time? Should we unleash our true power?"

Yun Che's eyes darted around the area, seeing the potential destruction it could cause. "We can't, Retsu. This place won't survive our full might."

Yun Che deftly sidestepped one of the shadow's vicious attacks, his frustration growing as it seemingly shrugged off his counterattack, reforming itself with eerie fluidity. Retsu and Mio faced similar challenges, unable to tire out or disable the relentless assailants. Even Kon returned to his side. These shadows were indeed formidable, a testament to the security measures Xuyi had designed for this place. They were clearly meant to deter intruders like them, and the trio fit the description perfectly.

His mind raced, weighing the consequences of going all out in this battle. "Should we unleash our full power?" Yun Che muttered to himself, but doubt lingered. He couldn't risk destroying the entire island and failing their mission, especially when Lin Xin, her daughter, and Cang Yue's safety depended on their success. The barrier protecting them was fragile, and time was running out.

Then, a spark of inspiration hit him, a futuristic idea that seemed implausible but worth a try. He remembered the translations provided by the system, which hinted at an administrator control for this security system.

"Wait," Yun Che thought aloud, his mind racing as he connected the dots. "If this is indeed a security countermeasure, there must be an administrator control." Swiftly, he sheathed Zangetsu and retrieved a small, unassuming item that had saved the island from their unrestrained power—the Apple of Eden.

"Let's hope this works," Yun Che muttered under his breath, pressing the small button on the Apple. Lightning-like beams of light burst forth, surging toward the shadows. In an instant, the relentless assailants froze in their tracks, petrified by the mysterious power of the Apple.

------------------

[Ding…. Administrator detected…. All security countermeasures are disabled. Light shadows powering down…. Returning to the original state.]

-------------------

The shadows, once relentless and unyielding, began to quiver and disintegrate, dissolving into the very air from which they had emerged. The room was left with nothing but the bewildered stares of the seven individuals who had faced this unexpected ordeal.

Yun Che let out a relieved sigh, feeling the intense tension that had gripped him begin to dissipate. "That was quite the unexpected challenge," he remarked, his voice tinged with a hint of exhaustion as he had to fight while maintaining the barrier. With cautious relief, he turned his attention to Lin Xin, Xueli and Cang Yue quickly removing the barrier that had protected them. Mio and Retsu, their powers no longer needed, withdrew their haki, their hands returning to their normal state.

Kon, usually the cheerful and carefree one of the group, suddenly spoke up, his voice filled with a mix of amazement and humor. "Good thing you've got that mysterious gizmo with you," he quipped before comically flopping onto his plushy backside.

"Yeah," Yun Che responded, his expression serious as he considered the implications. "If it comes to it, blowing up the whole island might be a last option. But I'll definitely have to change the administrator controls after this." He held the Apple of Eden in his hand, earning a curious gaze from some of his companions.

Cang Yue's eyes remained fixated on the intriguing object, curiosity sparking in her gaze. "Yun Che, what is that thing?"

Yun Che's lips curled into a reassuring smile as he handed the Apple to Cang Yue, his confidence unwavering. "Oh, this? This is the Apple of Eden, a relic I found in the tomb along with that feather for you. It's harmless, don't worry." He passed the small artifact to Cang Yue, although it dwarfed her in her current Nezuko form. Knowing that the Moon Empress had erased any memories connected to the Apple from the feather, Yun Che felt comfortable giving it to her. With his complete control over the Apple, it posed no danger in her hands. Lin Xin's curiosity was also piqued, and she couldn't help but gaze at the mysterious object.

Cang Yue examined the seemingly inconspicuous item, skepticism lingering in her voice. "Such a small thing... Can it really stand up against those light shadows? Are you sure it's harmless?"

Yun Che nodded thoughtfully. "Yes, it's harmless for now. But you should know, Cang Yue, that this tiny object possesses unimaginable power. The Moon Empress used it to create this entire realm we're in. It might look unassuming, but it's a key to immense potential." As he revealed this astonishing truth, both Lin Xin and Cang Yue were left in awe, realizing the gravity of the artifact in their possession and the secrets it held within.

Cang Yue's doubt was evident in her voice as she questioned, "That's impossible, right?"

Yun Che nodded, his tone filled with unwavering confidence. "Little Yue, the Apple may appear as a simple metal sphere, but it holds incredible power. The Moon Empress created not only this realm but also the shadowy figures, the barriers, and everything we see with just her thoughts. The Apple is the conduit that brings her imagination to life."

Cang Yue's eyes widened in astonishment as she gently cradled the Apple of Eden within her arms. "This thing is really that powerful? It's almost too unbelievable." The implications of such an artifact were staggering. How could something so unassuming possess the ability to shape reality itself? Could this be the source of Xuyi's unmatched abilities?

As she pondered these questions, Cang Yue couldn't help but wonder why there was no record of such an extraordinary artifact in the archives. Had the Moon Empress deliberately concealed the existence of the Apple, or perhaps eradicated all evidence of its existence to safeguard it from prying eyes? The nature of the Profound Sky Continent was such that the Apple would undoubtedly attract the attention of those who sought power. Cang Yue began to feel that it might indeed be safer in Yun Che's hands.

Yun Che continued, explaining, "Your current cultivation art is also came from this very Apple. Right now, I have this thing under control, preventing it from going berserk. That's why it's harmless."

Cang Yue was taken aback. "My cultivation art came from the Apple?" The revelation left her both surprised and intrigued. She began to suspect that the Moon Empress had kept the Apple's true potential hidden to prevent misuse. The idea of becoming like her ancestor didn't appeal to Cang Yue; she had her own memories and determination. With the Apple in her possession, she might become just like her. However, she was determined to forge her own path as the Blue Moon Empress, one that differed from the Moon Empress of the past.

Cang Yue returned the Apple of Eden to Yun Che, and a smile crept across his face as he observed her maturity. When he had handed her the artifact, he had anticipated a different reaction, expecting her to explore its potential. Instead, she had shown her determination to carve her own path as the Blue Moon Empress. It was clear that this young woman was ready to take on the mantle, with the only missing piece being the strength to shoulder it.

"Now that's over, it's time for the Moon Empress to come home," Yun Che declared with a determined glint in his eye. From his inventory, he summoned the Isu-made glass-covered stone coffin, and it materialized in front of them. As he carefully positioned the glass coffin on the altar, its pentagonal shape seemed to fit perfectly.

Then, an unexpected phenomenon unfolded.

Suddenly, luminous aqua-colored lines beneath the coffin began to glow, radiating an intense brilliance that extended to the entire island. The ground beneath their feet shimmered with the same aqua glow.

"It's not just an island," Yun Che murmured, awe in his voice. "It's a mechanism—a mechanism cleverly disguised as an island."

The revelation left the group in stunned silence as they gazed upon the island, which was now revealed to be a marvel of ancient Isu technology. The implications of this discovery were profound, and the mysteries of Xuyi's realm continued to deepen.

The aqua linings etched into the ground pulsed with a mysterious energy, creating a mesmerizing display on the floating island. As if responding to some unseen command, the island began to rise, lifting itself higher from its original position. The spherical barrier surrounding it expanded in tandem, growing larger and more vibrant, almost touching the top of the colossal golden barrier that enveloped the entire realm. The once-golden barrier was now undergoing a remarkable transformation, gradually shifting its hue to a deep aqua color. This new barrier appeared even more resilient and powerful than its previous form.

The attention of the entire city was now riveted on the floating island. Citizens gathered in the streets, their faces filled with wonder and amazement as they witnessed this incredible spectacle. The island, once a hidden mechanism, had become a majestic vantage point from which to view the realm below. It remained visible to the naked eye, but its newfound position high above the city's skyline was both astonishing and awe-inspiring.

"The creator... she's home... Guest Yun did it..." Old Fan's voice quivered with reverence as he knelt before the island above, his actions swiftly mirrored by the priest and priestesses who accompanied him.

Amid the unfolding spectacle on the island, Yun Che and his companions shielded their eyes from the blinding radiance as the Moon Empress's glass-covered coffin descended into the mechanism below. Slowly, the glass cover sealed the coffin, marking the Moon Empress's final resting place within the heart of the ancient mechanism. Whatever material comprised the glass, it was evident that it was indestructible, ensuring her eternal repose.

With a collective sense of solemnity, everyone gathered around the glass-covered tomb, peering inside to catch their first glimpse of Huan Xuyi's preserved body. The sight before them was nothing short of astonishing. Though she had passed away three thousand years ago, her appearance remained frozen in time, as if she had departed only yesterday.

Cang Yue couldn't contain her tears as she beheld her body. It was uncanny how much the Moon Empress resembled Yuyun's appearance. A testament to Yuyun's earlier claims that the Moon Empress had modeled the spirit's form after her own. For Mio and Retsu, this was their first time witnessing the Moon Empress's visage, and they were left awestruck by her ethereal beauty. Even in death, she retained an otherworldly allure, akin to an angelic figure.

Retsu couldn't help but marvel at the preserved beauty before them. She turned to Yun Che with a questioning gaze. "She's beautiful. This is the person you met inside the tomb, Yuu-kun?"

Yun Che nodded somberly. "Yes, but when I met her, it was her soul, and she was full of life. Who would have thought she endured such suffering all these years."

Lin Xin, who had been quietly observing, suddenly recalled a crucial memory upon seeing the Moon Empress's face. It flooded back to her like a vivid dream. "It's her... She was the one who poured that radiant light into me."

Yun Che turned his full attention to her, his curiosity piqued. "What do you mean, Lin Xin?"

Lin Xin began to recount her vivid recollection. "I remember standing before this very altar. Then, I saw a figure emerging from it. It was her... the Moon Empress. I found myself floating above the altar, and she extended her hand, causing an aqua light to pour from the air and directly into me. She focused on Xueli."

As her memories continued to resurface, she shared with a sense of awe, "I could feel Xueli inside me, pulsing as though she was ready to be born, even though she had only been in my womb for two months. The Moon Empress continued pouring her light into me, and when she finished, she conjured a glowing orb in her hands, pressing it into my stomach. The next thing I knew, I was back in the priestesses' quarters. It felt like a dream, but deep down, I knew it was real, because I could feel it." Lin Xin's gaze settled on Yun Che. "Yun Che, you might have some answers about this, don't you?"

Yun Che took a deep breath, realizing that he was about to reveal something that would likely shake Lin Xin's understanding of her own life. He had prepared an answer, one that would hopefully satisfy her curiosity without divulging all the truth.

"Hmm... Xin'er," Yun Che began, his tone measured, "what if I told you that both you and Xueli are cultivators? Would you believe me?"

Lin Xin's eyes widened in disbelief. The concept of being a cultivator seemed foreign to her. She had no memories of such a life, and her recollections began with the day her husband had found her half-dead in the outside world. Could it be that she had been a cultivator all along?

Yun Che carefully shared what he had learned from Xueli, keeping certain details hidden. He didn't mention the fact that Lin Xin was a Divine Cultivator or the memory seal placed in her mind. Nor did he reveal that Xueli was an Isu Hybrid. Instead, he explained that her previous experience had answered many of his questions. Yun Che conveyed that Xueli was indeed a cultivator, but her cultivation wouldn't be suitable until she reached twenty years old. The Xuyi phantom from Lin Xin's memory had been assisting in completing her daughter's soul. It was a plausible narrative, but Lin Xin still couldn't fully grasp the idea that both she and her daughter were cultivators.

Yun Che contemplated for a moment. Should he give Lin Xin her lost memories back? He knew the potential consequences, but his decision hinged on her response. He took a deep breath and posed the question, "Xin'er, do you miss your life as a cultivator? If you wish, I can restore your memories."

His words elicited surprise from the other women, but Yun Che reassured them that he knew what he was doing. This might be a chance to unravel the truth about Lin Xin's past. Jasmine was also intrigued by this mystery. She delved into her vast knowledge but found no information about Lin Xin. Could she be from a hidden clan or a secretive lineage unknown to the Realm of the Gods?

Lin Xin considered the offer for a moment, then smiled at Yun Che, taking his hands in hers. "No," she replied, her voice filled with determination. "I've found a new life here. I want to be the best mother for my little girl, and I have a loving husband who saved my life. Everything I ever wanted is right here. The memories of my past can remain in the past. I'm afraid they might bring me trouble one day. I don't think I want to remember them. I'm content with my current life, and I want to spend it raising my daughter. But if fate ever wills it, and I regain my memories of my past self, I can only hope that I'll still be able to stay with my daughter every step of the way. It doesn't matter if Xueli is a cultivator; she's my daughter, and I'll raise her into a wonderful young woman."

Lin Xin's resolute response left Yun Che with a sense of relief. He respected her wishes, realizing that she had chosen the life she now cherished over the uncertainties of her past. He silently vowed to protect her from any potential hardships that might arise when her memories returned.

As they stood by the glass-covered tomb of the Moon Empress, Yun Che pondered the remarkable revelation about Xueli. She was not just a Divine Cultivator; she was something entirely unique—a hybrid of divine and Isu heritage. It appeared that the Xuyi phantom had transformed her half-divine soul into a Divine Isu Soul, creating a new and rare type of soul with the powers of both a cultivator and a complete Isu Soul. Xuyi seemed to have foreseen this development, likely through her interactions with the Apple of Eden. She had acquired some esoteric knowledge and abilities from the Apple but lacked the power to cultivate them herself. In response, she had made the momentous decision to transfer her Isu soul, abilities, and skills to a descendant of a Divine Cultivator. In doing so, she had unwittingly created a new and extraordinary being, a potential game-changer in the world's destiny.

Yun Che marveled at the Moon Empress's foresight and ingenuity, particularly in accomplishing this while sealing Ares within her. He couldn't help but acknowledge that if Ares had discovered the existence of Xueli and her unique abilities, he might have targeted her instead.

Their contemplation was interrupted by Xueli, who tugged at her mother's sleeve and pointed excitedly at something. Her actions drew the attention of everyone, and they turned to see what had caught her eye. Even Jasmine, in her soul form, emerged to investigate.

What they saw left them all speechless once more....

It was Huan Xuyi, more like a phantom or illusion of her, but Yun Che and Jasmine knew this was one of her soul essences. Probably set to play the moment her coffin was returned home. She was as beautiful as her buried body, an adult complete with the stature of a powerful cultivator. This was her ultimate form. The strongest in the world back then was her return to her home after years of leaving it. She slowly walked towards her house while holding the Apple of Eden in her hands and with a saddened expression.

Tears streamed down from the adult Xuyi's face as she carefully unearthed a few blackened and decayed skeletons from the house nearby. Her actions left everyone present in stunned silence. Yun Che and Jasmine recognized the grim significance of these remains immediately—It was here parents, cruelly murdered when a group of ruthless cultivators had descended upon her village.

Huan Xuyi carried the skeletal remnants to the base of a once ordinary tree, and with small, determined hands, she began to dig a shallow grave. With great care, she placed her parents' remains within the pit and gently covered them with soil. Witnessing the all and mighty Moon Empress bury the skeletal remains of her murdered parents was a poignant and gut-wrenching scene, leaving everyone with a heavy heart.

Using the powers of the Apple of Eden, Huan Xuyi worked her magic. The tree, once plain and unremarkable, transformed before their eyes into a magnificent cherry blossom tree.

"So, this is how she did it," Yun Che whispered to himself, finally understanding the source of the cherry blossom tree's enchantment.

But that was not the end of the remarkable spectacle. A phantom emerged from the glass tomb of Huan Xuyi, taking on the form of her childhood self, radiating pure joy. As she had buried her parents' remains, two more phantoms, the spirits of her parents, slowly rose from behind her and became visible to all. They walked toward Xuyi's wooden house, taking a seat on the staircase. The child Xuyi beamed with happiness, running to them and embracing them tightly.

It was the fulfillment of a long-held wish—the reunion she had yearned for.

Finally, the adult Xuyi turned her gaze toward the phantoms, tears streaming down her face as she wiped them away with her sleeves. She then turned and walked toward the group, everyone's eyes still fixed on the heartwarming scene. The phantoms' actions left them astounded, but Xuyi remained silent. She smiled earnestly and bowed her head toward the man who had brought her back home—Yun Che.

With two simple words, she stirred emotions in everyone present, including Lin Xin and Xueli, bringing tears to their eyes.

"Thank you."

A heartfelt smile graced Xuyi's face as she waved to the group, her child self and her parents mirroring the gesture. The phantoms slowly began to dissolve into the air, transforming into radiant lights that cascaded down upon Yun Che and his companions. As they faded away, their smiles remained unwavering—an enduring and poignant final message from the Moon Empress.

The lights enveloped Yun Che and his party, a gentle and soothing embrace that filled their hearts with a profound sense of peace and closure. Though Xuyi and her loved ones had departed, their presence lingered, a testament to the enduring power of love and family even across the boundaries of life and death.

As the lights gradually faded, leaving nothing but the tranquil aura of the cherry blossom tree and the serene atmosphere of the once-hidden realm, everyone knew that they had witnessed something truly extraordinary—an unforgettable chapter in the story of the Moon Empress and her enduring legacy.

She was finally home with her parents.

She was finally….free…

Moved by the profound moment and the lasting impact of the Moon Empress's legacy, Yun Che pressed his palms together and began to pray for Xuyi's eternal peace. His solemn gesture inspired everyone present, including Jasmine, to join him in prayer. It was a moment of collective reverence, a tribute to the remarkable woman who had touched their lives in profound ways.

During the prayer, a single cherry blossom fell gracefully into Yun Che's open palm. He accepted the delicate bloom and made a heartfelt oath.

"Xuyi... one day, I will fill our world with the beauty of your family's tree. In my world, cherry blossoms symbolize peace, and their presence brings solace to those who behold them. I promise to uphold that legacy and ensure that it endures."

As Yun Che spoke these words from his heart, he looked at Xuyi's preserved form. Little Xueli collected a multitude of cherry blossoms and placed them gently upon the glass tomb. Lin Xin, Cang Yue, and his other two companions followed suit, adding their own blossoms to the tribute. Yun Che could have easily covered the tomb with a simple gesture of his power, but he chose to honor their wishes. It seemed only fitting to bury the Moon Empress beneath a blanket of her beloved cherry blossoms.

With the completion of this poignant ceremony, Yun Che felt a profound sense of closure. His mission in this realm was finally accomplished.

"Hell yeah, that's three down, one more to go... Thanks, Xuyi," Yun Che muttered with a sense of accomplishment, his gratitude evident. He hoped that wherever she was now, she had found the reunions she deserved with her family and friends. With three wisdom cubes in his possession, he was on the cusp of obtaining the fourth. He pondered who might be the fortunate being he would summon next, as he had already used his last four cubes to summon Kon.

However, his train of thought was interrupted by a sudden notification.

-------------

[Ding... Detected new administrator change. The host and his party are now registered as residents of this island. You can now enter and leave the same way as before. Please use the pedestal below to enter and the pedestal up here to go.]

------------

Yun Che blinked in confusion. "What pedestal?" he muttered, scratching his head. Moments later, a pedestal suddenly rose beside Huan Xuyi's grave.

"Ah, that pedestal," Yun Che chuckled, smacking his forehead in amusement. It seemed that the pedestal below functioned similarly to the one in the sanctuary, allowing them to come and go from this unique island. While his companions explored the island and engaged in various activities, Yun Che took the opportunity to gather samples from the island's flowers, soft grasses, and cherry blossoms.

Moving a little farther away from his companions, he activated his inner world editor. The default ground of his inner world had been unchanged until now. Using the samples he had collected from the island, he began to transform the plain expanse. Flower beds, soft grasses, and cherry blossom trees soon dotted the landscape, giving it a newfound beauty and serenity. As the inner world gradually transformed, Yun Che's spirits showed their approval, with the exception of Hoyuu, who grumbled about the increasingly "girly" atmosphere.

In his inner world, Shirayuki couldn't contain her excitement. "Myyyy... Cherry blossoms... my lord... thank you... thank you so much... Please come back here so I can kiss you," she gushed, her voice filled with elation.

Kuroyuki sighed, sounding more composed. "My lord, it would be wise to return soon. My little sister is quite restless because of your absence. The snake and the monkey are equally agitated. Your young ladies have missed you."

Yun Che chuckled at their antics. "I'll come back when I have the time. For now, enjoy the upgrades in the inner world. I've already received enough complaints from Kon and Jasmine," he added with a hint of amusement.

His evil twin, observing from a central tree branch, chimed in with a mischievous tone. "Oi, King... This world is becoming more boring because of you."

Yun Che retorted, "Take it up with Jasmine; it was her idea."

The evil twin grumbled, "That damn flower, I'll get her for this."

Yun Che laughed, "Well, good luck with that."

With the inner world now transformed into a place of serene beauty with rainbow-colored grass, flower beds, and cherry blossom trees, Yun Che closed the inner world editor. Basically, he made a duplicate environment of Xuyi's home. As he marveled at the changes, he couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia. It had been a while since he had visited his spirits and interacted with them. Perhaps he would find the time to return to his inner world and reconnect with his companions. Although he knew he'd have to endure their playful antics as an apology for his extended absence, he looked forward to it.
