Tangled by Fate

He used more force to break the witch's barrier. The purple barrier shattered into pieces.    

He didn't bother to look anywhere else and flew ahead to catch Veronica.    

All of a sudden, a burning fireball charged at him.      

Arthur's fingertips were able to touch Veronica's hair when the fireball pushed him away.    

"!!"      

Arthur widened his eyes. He was so close to holding his wife but the fireball cast by the witch in the black dress took him away from her.    

He forgot the burning pain in his stomach. His heart and brain filled with emptiness as he stared at Veronica falling.    

Down there, Darius and the rest held their breath when they saw her fall to the ground.    

Darius dashed forward with his arms open wide to catch her but Merlin used a spell and created a soft net. This way, Veronica could drop into the soft net and not get hurt.      

Before she could land on the net, Veronica's eyes abruptly opened.
