They were overwhelmed by the brutality and ferociousnes of the reinforcements, they killed without blinking. Bloody corpses were lying all over the place.
Jurou and Shiba instilled fear to Suna's army. Their appearances were already unique, but their explosion release was the real deal.
Each hit of their weapons would explode many. Everytime Bartu wanted to strike the both of them with his puppets, Yuno made sure to not let it happen.
The Anbu leader was displaying his large array of skill and tenacity. If it was anyone else, fighting against fifty powerful puppets would be an impossible task.
They fought with all they could even if they were exhausted because of the intensity of the battle. If they failed to drive Suna's army away, the whole land would be at their mercy.
Well, not really since Kentaro would then act against Suna's army personally. The reinforcements knew that, but if it came to this, then they would truly be ashamed.
"Earth Style: Earth Dragon Jutsu!" an earth dragon showed its body and traveled to Bartu and his puppets with incredible might.
A big puppet head came out of the ground, it opened its mouth. The earth dragon met with it, Yuno was impressed to see that it completely stopped the earth dragon.
"Bartu! We've been going at it for one hour now, don't you see your fellow comrades die under our overwhelming might? If you return from where you came from-"
"Shut up! Our survival depends on this war. We need fertile soil for our country and village's growth. If we retreat, all of our comrades will have died in vain." Bartu made it clear to Yuno.
"You are mistaken here. If you retreat, many lives would be spared. Iwa's victory is no doubt, it is only a few hours away. Make the right choice or assume the consequences!" Bartu prepared his puppets once more, his choice was clear to see.
"Now, Shiba!" from the left and right of Bartu appeared Jurou and Shiba. They were high up in the air and were falling down towards Bartu, their weapons ready to kill him.
'They're really sneaky, I didn't notice them until now.' Yuno charged forward, a subtle smile on his face. The Explosive Duo swung their weapons down.
"BOOOOOM!" the powerful explosion produced impressive wind waves and smoke, Yuno ran through it all. He stumbled upon a special looking puppet.
"PSSSSSHHHHHH!" a purple smoke came out of the little holes in the puppet. Yuno widened his eyes, he realized what it was. As his attention was taken by the growing poisenous mist, a puppet swiftly positioned itself not too far behind him.
"AAHHH!" five needles pierced Yuno's back, they were fired by the puppet behind him. He fell to his knees, his body suddenly felt stiff.
"Wind Style: Wind Blade Jutsu!" the gravely injured Bartu wanted to take Yuno down before dying. The wind blade traveled through the smoke and the purple mist, Yuno could see it coming for him.
Jurou and Shiba were running towards Yuno while covering their nose and mouth. Only that they were too far away, it was impossible to save Yuno at this point.
Yuno closed his eyes, he accepted his fate. At least, he would die as a true shinobi. One who has sacrificed his life for his village, for his Tsuchikage.
"Your safe now, captain." the voice took Yuno out of his thoughts and emotions, he opened his eyes to see a man stand before him.
"Shime!" Shiba ran as fast as he could to the side of his brother. Shime stood between Yuno and the wind blade, he took it head on. Shime fell down, his upper body was nearly separated from his lower body.
"Stand up captain, we have a battle to end." Jurou reached his hand to Yuno. Instead of taking Jurou's hand, Yuno's widened eyes looked intently at Shime's dead body and at his crying brother.
"If only he knew, he sacrificed himself for nothing. The needles were soaked with poison, I can feel myself getting weaker by the second." Shiba turned his head to Yuno. His eyes showed his rage, sadness and disgust.
"You're telling me that you're poisened! Stand your ass up captain, my brother's sacrifice won't be in vain!" Shiba stood up, a hand stopped him from doing whatever he intended to do.
"It's enough, Shiba. Now is not the time to mourn, I shall bring captain Yuno to one of the healing outposts. Shime's sacrifice won't be in vain." Jurou removed the needles from Yuno's back and carried him, Shiba looked at their disappearing figures.
"It's all because of you, you killed my brother. How dare you!" Shiba ran to Bartu and grabbed him from the hair, he slammed his whole face on the ground.
"I swear that I'll kill all of your little friends after I'll kill you. They will join you in the afterlife." Shiba grabbed Bartu's throat ane choked him to death.
The battle continued. With Shiba's rage, the battlefield became even more messy. He was completely out of control, many of his explosions caught some of the reinforcements. There was no stopping him.
Meanwhile, Jurou did all he could to bring Yuno to a healing outpost. Time was not unlimited and poison traveled fast in the body, Yuno succumbed under the effects of the poison after thirty minutes.

"Yuno Ichika succumbed to the enemy. He made sure to accomplish his mission before giving out his last breath. Suna's army has retreated back to where they came from, weakened and wounded. Kumo's army was halted by Konoha's army in The Land Of Hot Water. We also received information from the Raikage about the Uzumaki clan participating in this war." Kentaro, Zarachi and Koro listened to the recent reports.
"Fuck. Yuno was a young one, his future was bright." Koro was both chocked and saddened by this unexpected news. He couldn't care less about the happenings in The Land Of Hot Water.
"I told you guys. If I were gone in his stead....Yuno would have still been with us." Kentaro stood up and exited the command room, he was in need of some fresh air.
The Battle of Shi Ravine was a key point in the war, Suna's army was really weakened. No offensive could be expected from them for the entirety of the war. it was now time to fully focus on the main battlefield.
