"Quick..." Next to Hiruzen, the Third Kazekage opened his eyes in shock. Jun's flicker had reached a level where even he struggled to see his movement. It truly seemed instantaneous. Furrowing his brows, he turned towards the Hokage. "Are you sure he's a genin?"
"Yeah, he graduated just over a month ago!" With a mysterious smile, Hiruzen locked his gaze on the young Uchiha. He trusted Jiraiya's judgment of character... If he said Jun was great, he entirely believed him.
Hiruzen couldn't wait for Jun to grow into one of the village's greatest pillars.
"Outrageous. So this is an Uchiha..." Watching his direct disciple getting toyed with, the Kazekage didn't know how to react. That clan really lived up to the expectations.
"Katon: Gokakyu no jutsu!" Increasing his lung-size threefold, Jun blasted out an enormous fireball that seemed undodgeable due to its massive size.
Noticing it, Rasa made an enormous effort and formed a golden sphere around him, preventing the fire from reaching his skin.
After the fire subsided, Rasa's golden sphere was now extremely hot, landing on the ground with a thud and forming a small crater. Once the earth came into contact with it, sizzling sounds could be heard.
"Geh..." The gold sand plummeted to the ground, revealing a tired and sweaty Rasa. Although he was protected from direct impact, the flames still turned the inside of the sphere into a huge oven.
As he was catching his breath, Rasa noticed something weird. His very own golden dust wrapped around his feet then climbed to the rest of his body and completely enveloped him, searing his skin because of its temperature.
Rasa screamed in pain, only to be further squashed by the gold. Making a tremendous effort, he moved his hand and tried to control it... Only to find that he was unable to.
"What... Why!?" Rasa despaired. The gold was acting on its own!
Because of the searing heat against his skin and the crushing pressure of the gold, Rasa completely fainted.
Up in the stands, Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Dan all sat together, watching the fight unfold. From their point of view, as soon as Rasa's golden sphere landed on the ground, he fainted.
"What happened? I didn't see a thing!" Surprised by the unexpected turn of events, Tsunade gaped in shock. She knew for a fact that the heat from the fireball was not enough to cause this sort of development.
"Genjutsu... But when did he..." Dan held his chin as he narrowed his eyes, trying to single out the moment when Jun had used his genjutsu on Rasa.
"From the very beginning." Smiling, Jiraiya proudly crossed his arms. Getting the lovers' attention, he continued with a grin. "Once he looked into his eyes, it was over. Jun just used the opportunity when the opponent was hurt and tired, making him very susceptible."
Hearing Jiraiya's words, Tsunade and Dan both understood. Turning their eyes towards Jun once again, they saw the kid in a new light.
"Such a high-level genjutsu... The Sharingan is a fearful ability." Rubbing her forehead, Tsunade sighed. "Did you teach him that?"
"Me? Teach him? That kid is better than me at everything! It's frustrating, but I'm unfit!" This was the real reason why he chose Minato. Jun was just on an entirely different stratosphere from everyone else. "I sincerely believe that if he doesn't die early, he'll be the strongest ninja in the village... No, scrap that. he'll be the strongest ninja in the world."
With a severe tone, Jiraiya spoke his mind. It was the first time that he had felt so inadequate... He truly felt unfit to teach his prodigious disciple.
