I Got 999 Level With One Cut

An increasingly loud and deep sound was heard. It was as if a powerful existence from millions of years ago was waking up from the ground. Dust and stones fell from the mountain in front of them, blocking their vision. Behind the barrier formed by the gray soil, there was a figure that was more than ten meters tall. The giant, who was kneeling on one knee, stood up.    

His body was made of uneven rocks with moss growing on them, and the mana source in his chest was emitting green light. His head was the terrifying square face from before.    

In front of him, as the obstacles disappeared, a pitch-black hole appeared at the end of the platform.    

However, they naturally couldn't directly walk over.    

Riko did not know how this giant moved. Although he had the power of the magic spring, his body was made of huge rocks. Every time his joints moved, there would be the sound of stones rubbing against each other. This was completely out of the girl's understanding of magic creation.    

The giant's rough right hand held a giant hammer the size of a house. Riko could not tell how heavy that thing was, but through her magic, she could detect that the hammer was definitely solid.    

He moved his huge body, every step he took could create countless spiderweb-like cracks on the platform, as well as the muffled sound of thunder. The entire world seemed to be shaking.    

Riko revealed half of her face from behind the shield. She wanted to raise her hand to cast a spell.    

Although this giant looked very scary, once the hammer in his hand hit the person without the shield, it would most likely smash them into stone walls of the mountain. However, alchemists who were familiar with magic and mages definitely wouldn't do such a thing. The swelling and contracting mana source in front of its chest pushed the power into its body every time it beat. That was the best guiding light for mages. She only needed an ice spear to instantly penetrate the thin layer of stone that protected the magic source. This way, the giant wouldn't be able to get up again.    

Riko did not have much knowledge in this area, so her Alchemy had not reached the max level yet. But Riko still knew that any alchemist on Earth who made puppets knew about the hidden magic source, or simply stuffed a few extra energy sources into the puppets. They would not openly put the energy source outside.    

But Meiko seemed to have expected it. She gently pressed Riko's arm down.    

"Let me do it."    

The blond Shield Knight said softly.    

On the other side, under the thunderous footsteps, the giant slowly walked in front of the two of them. He stood between them and the road in front of them and raised the giant hammer. The terrifying weight of the giant hammer turned into kinetic energy. This was a heavy blow.    

"I, treasure, protect. Come, die!" It roared.    

Riko was so scared that she subconsciously closed her eyes.    

Meiko sighed again. She casually raised her shield with one hand and collided with the giant hammer in the air that carried a supreme aura.    

A visible airwave erupted from the point of impact and even blew away the surrounding fog. The scene of the entire valley appeared in front of their eyes without any reservation. Shield Knight lifted the shield facing the sky with one hand, even though the weight of the hammer was pressing down. But until all the impact dissipated, the girl's arm that was wrapped under the armor did not tremble at all.    

"Greed, ant, die!"    

The giant opened his empty mouth, saying the incomplete words. His one attack did not achieve any results, but he seemed to not know the meaning of the word retreat. Instead, he swung the hammer even harder, as if he could break Meiko's defense like this.    

At this time, the latter blinked her eyes and suddenly said something to the giant rock monster.    

"Why is there a need?"    

The giant seemed to have paused for a moment, which surprised Riko. She thought that this thing did not have intelligence. It would only repeat a few preset words. Just like the Golden Puppet that could be automatically registered in the academy library, every time she passed the book to it, it would even say thank you. It could even remember the name of "Professor Rico Heskava," but did it really have intelligence? No. Those were all part of the designer's program.    

But the giant still swung the hammer down without a care.    

Meiko easily blocked it.    

The shock wave turned into a strong storm that echoed in the valley. The blond Shield Knight looked at the giant. Her gaze was like water, but also filled with a bit of nostalgia.

The stone giant used three words as an answer.    

"You've said too much. Go to hell!"

"And now, you stubbornly stand in front of us. And why are you fighting?"    

The corner of her mouth drew a smile.    

"After all, the treasure you're protecting is long gone."    

The giant stood rooted to the ground.

She stood at the foot of the giant and looked up at its huge body, then raised her shield with force.    

In the dark mountain tunnel, the torches on both sides were lit up without any warning.    

This lit up the murals drawn on the wall.    

Some small figures with strange proportions and funny movements were dancing on the wall. They did things Riko could not understand and seemed to be worshipping some god.    

"Why do you say that the treasure it protects is gone?"    

The silver-haired girl turned her head and asked the person beside her.    

The sound of footsteps echoed in the long road. Meiko's voice rang out.    

"Because I stole that thing."
